Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound (450g) ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for binding)
  • 1 egg (optional, for binding)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 2 burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes (optional)
  • Sliced cheese (optional)
  • Condiments of your choice (mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, etc.)
  • Olive oil or vegetable oil for cooking

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken Patties:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs (if using), egg (if using), chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using). Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about the size of your burger buns.

Cook the Chicken Patties:

  • Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly oil it to prevent sticking.
  • Cook the chicken patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and nicely browned. Make sure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) to ensure they are safe to eat.

Toast the Burger Buns:

  • While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster until they are golden brown.

Assemble the Burger:

  • Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun. Add a cooked chicken patty on top.
  • If using cheese, place a slice on top of the hot patty so it melts slightly.
  • Add tomato slices and any other desired toppings.
  • Spread condiments on the top half of the burger bun and place it on top of the toppings.

Serve:

  • Serve the chicken burgers immediately while hot. You can serve them with a side of fries, salad, or other favorite sides.
