Ingredients:

For the Brownies:

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (40g) cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

For the Ice Cream:

  • 1-2 scoops of your favorite flavor (vanilla, chocolate, or caramel work well)

Instructions:

Optional: Drizzle with chocolate sauce, caramel, or top with whipped cream and sprinkles.

Prepare the Brownies:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter and sugar together until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until well combined.

Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gently fold the mixture until just combined (do not overmix).

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

Serving:

Warm up a brownie square in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds.

Place a scoop of ice cream on top of the warm brownie.
